Elixia Sörnäinen is a charming neighborhood gym located just next to the Katri Valan puisto park in the northern part of Helsinki. Although it is not huge, it offers a surprisingly versatile choice of equipment and classes, and is a great spot to meet and train with the locals.
The ground floor of the gym mainly features cardio machines, including rowers, cross trainers stationary bikes and rowers. Most of the strength training equipment is located on the upper floor, and you will find both resistance machines and free weights area. There is also a stretching zone for cooldown or core exercises.
