The Seattle Gym - Queen Anne
Located in one of the gorgeous craftsman houses the Queen Anne district is known for, The Seattle Gym has opened its doors in 1982 – and stood the test of time. Their constantly upgraded equipment, premier classes, and warm atmosphere will make every visitor feel like home.
The Seattle Gym spreads through two floors and features a superb weight area especially focused on free weight lifting. Their cardio machines have personal view screens that allow you to create tailor-made training sessions, while they also boast with a large empty room designed for stretching, pilates and group classes. They offer a range of group activities, including ZUMBA, Kickboxing, and Yoga, as well as designated kids’ activities and dry saunas for restoration.

Once known as Eden Hill, the Queen Anne neighborhood was renamed after its gorgeous mansions built in the like-named English architectural style. It’s now popular for offering some of the best views on Seattle, especially those that can be seen from the massive Kerry Park. Space Needle also offers magnificent views, as well as a Glass Museum and a rotating restaurant titled SkyCity. Space Needle is a part of a much larger Seattle Center, that offers countless events and exhibitions, such as those on Pearl Jam and Nirvana in the Museum Of Pop Culture. Queen Anne is also popular for its dining options, with its iconic “How To Cook A Wolf” restaurant being one of the must-visits.
Both adults and children will enjoy the Pacific Science Center, which features exhibitions on dinosaurs, mechanics and the human body. A lovely Buttlerfly House and an IMAX Theatre also found their home at the Science Center. Like most of Seattle, Queen Anne is also popular for its shopping culture. Rather than huge shops and malls like the downtown, you’ll be able to explore small, locally-owned boutiques where you can find everything from home decor to gaming supplies. During the evening, try to catch one of their live events, especially concerts in the KeyArena, a long-standing structure that hosted Elvis Presley and The Beatles in the past.
