Show The Pass At The Gym And Go Work Out
If your exploration of Bangkok took you to the Phaya Thai district, there’s no better place to work out than Jetts 24 Hour Fitness Phaya Thai SP Building Bangkok. This gym opened fairly recently, but soon built an impressive reputation. This is of course a result of well-maintained spaces and great equipment range, but the friendly and professional staff also make it stand out.
This top-rated gym is lined with top of the line Matrix resistance machines, which allow a full body workout. You can complete your session in the large free weights area or in the cardio space. Cardio machines include treadmills, stationary bikes and elliptical trainers. You can also find a small functional zone equipped with kettlebells, balance balls, plyometric boxes and other essentials.
If you prefer having a guidance in your workout or just want to meet locals, you can book a personal training session or one of the classes offered in the gym. There is a large room designated for group sessions, and especially popular is Les Mills Barre, a ballet-inspired class that offers a fun way to build your strength and flexibility.
To make things easier for travelers, Jetts Fitness SP Building Bangkok now offers affordable and commitment-free access via TrainAway. To use this opportunity, install the TrainAway app on your phone, find the gym in the app and book your pass. Show the activated pass to the gym personnel – you can find them every day between 6 am and 10 pm, and between 8 am and 10 pm on weekends.
We recommend this gym for those staying around or visiting the King Rama V Monument, as you can easily arrive there with a direct bus line. Hop on the bus 503 on the Ratchadamnoen Nok Road (just a minute south from the monument), and it will take you directly to the center which sits in the SP Building on the Phahonyothin road.

King Rama V Monument is the first monument dedicated to a king in Thailand. Also known as Chulalongkorn, this king ruled at the end of 19th century, and the monument was built to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his coronation. It depicts the king in his military uniform and riding a stallion, and is placed on a high pedestal.
The bronze sculpture was cast in France and was completed in 1908. More than 100 years later, the locals still visit and pay respects to the loved king, and the area gets especially crowded on October 23rd – the official Chulalongkorn Memorial Day. You can find the monument on the Royal Plaza, close to the Dusit Garden and Zoo.
Bangkok now offers an impressive choice of local gyms. If you’re looking for the best gym for travelers near King Rama V Monument, you should check out Jetts 24 Hour Fitness – SP Building (Ari). One of the latest gyms opened by the brand in Bangkok, this sport center has soon become a favorite among local fitness enthusiasts. It’s known for bright and spacious training areas, modern machines, versatile fitness equipment and exciting classes led by experienced trainers. Travelers can now join in with no commitment, by booking a day pass through the TrainAway app.
If you crave a good meal after visiting the monument, you can find several popular places nearby. Most of them sit on the eastern side, towards the Chao Praya river. The laid back Thai eatery Ten Suns is great for a quick lunch and Da.Wynn.Ha sits just minutes away from the monument, and is a perfect spot to grab a dinner and enjoy craft beer in an atmospheric setting.
