Waterfront Seattle is an urban area surrounding the Elliot Bay, that consists of several neighborhoods, such as a part of the Downtown Seattle and Belltown. Although it has been inhabited from the old times by the Duwamish Native American tribe, it has been urbanized and developed ever since and is now going through its last rebuilding phase. This project is led by the City of Seattle, but supported and overlooked by the residents themselves. But although the renovations will be done only in 2023, the current Waterfront Seattle is still well worth the visit. First of all, it’s an awesome place to dine, as the restaurants offer you to enjoy fresh scallops, clams, and tuna while looking at the ships as they pass through the canal.
For an even better view of Elliot Bay and the stunning Olympic Mountains, hop onto the largest Ferris wheel in the US, called The Seattle Great Wheel. For an exciting and interactive theater experience, try out the Wings Over Washington and if you want to learn about marine life in Puget Sound make sure to have a look at the Seattle Aquarium.
