Rob, on TrainAway

Super glad to find TrainAway gyms here. Much easier than trying to find a gym selling day passes myself.

It's always been a pain trying training in overseas gyms, so I never bothered. But this was easy,

Pioneer Square

Pioneer Square is the birthplace of Seattle, established in 1852 by the founders of the city. As most of the old wooden buildings were lost in the Great Seattle Fire, the neighboorhood is now recognizable for their Romanesque Revival buildings, that arose in the late 19th century. These architectural wonders are the reason why the square was listed as the National Historic District, and one of the fundamental things you should explore while in the area. During your exploration, you can also enjoy shopping in one of their boutiques, which offer everything from independent clothing brands to handmade jewelry, books, and antiques.

If you’re an art lover, we’re sure you’ll enjoy one of their numerous small galleries mainly featuring local creators. You can also explore the subterranean tunnels on the Bill Spiedel’s Underground Tour, or learn about the city’s gold rush craze in the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park. Pioneer Square is also a brilliant destination for foodies, offering everything from local goodies to Dominican, German, French and plenty other global cuisines. Once the sun sets, the cultural districts turn into a center of nightlife, and you can enjoy live music, theater or drink a cocktail or wine while observing the vibrant streets.

How to find a gym with day pass in Pioneer Square?

Although Pioneer Square is principally a cultural and art center, you can also enjoy fitness activities in the nearby Seattle Athletic Club – Downtown. It’s located around 15 minutes walking distance away and offers a wide array of equipment and facilities that will meet every fitness traveler’s needs. To train at the gym, book your pass using the TrainAway app and show it at the reception when you’re ready to work out. The app is easy to use, offers affordable passes and helps you avoid making any long term commitments.
