Finding The Gym
You can find the gym at the beginning of Leipziger Straße, in the heart of Bockenheim district. It’s 10 minutes walking distance away from Palmengarten, and close to numerous cafes and restaurants. You can reach it by car, bike or by foot or use the city tram and exit at the Bockenheimer Warte station, that sits just at the gym’s entrance.

Located on the west of Frankfurt’s center, Bockenheim is one of the most densely populated suburbs in the city. This is easily noticeable when you walk through its main streets, as you’ll see and meet people from all over the world. This multicultural aspect of the city resulted in many versatile restaurants where you can taste global cuisines, such as Persian and Italian. You can also try traditional German food, including their wide range of cheese and seafood dishes. Bockenheim is also known as Frankfurt’s college district, as it is home to the 100 year old Goethe University, the birthplace of several German Nobel winners.
The Leipziger street is the most popular stop for shoppers, as it is lined with small boutiques offering everything from clothing, over esoteric books to jewelry and souvenirs. Every Wednesday, Bockenheim also organizes Wochenmarkt, where you can purchase local specialties, such as cheese, sausages and wine. Another must-see spot in the neighborhood is the Senckenberg Museum, a natural museum recognizable for its dinosaur artifacts, including a real T-Rex skeleton that marks its entrance. In the evening, enjoy a beer in one of the most popular pubs, such as the iconic Doctor Flotte.
Frankfurt is packed with various fitness options, from the low budget old school gyms to high end chains. PRIME TIME FITNESS – Bockenheim was the second gym built by the famous Prime Time chain, known for their state of the art fitness facilities as well as a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. You can train at the gym by booking a day pass through the TrainAway app. This method is much more flexible and affordable than a full membership, as it allows you to pay only when you work out.
