I was in Paris last week for a bit of business and pleasure and due to the budget for the trip, had to find a place slightly outside of the center of Paris. Thankfully, I also managed to get a cheap, 3 day gym pass to pass the time on some days. TrainAway is a very simple and useful tool!

Of my 3 day stay in France, I could only spend 1 actual day in the city centre. As a result, I was stuck in a small town called Le Kremlin-Bicêtre for the other 2 days. The town was quite boring but I managed to get some exercise in a gym called Neoness that I found through Trainaway. Didn’t have to break my routine!

Visiting some relatives in the outskirts of Paris and managed to get some exercise in a gym when I wasn’t in the city center or the family house in the town outside of the center.

The population is 25.859 and with a population density of 17.000/km², it is one of the most densely populated municipalities in Europe. Le Kremlin-Bicêtre is famous for the Bicêtre Hospital, where Superintendent Philippe Pinel is credited as being the first to introduce humane methods into the treatment of the mentally ill in 1793. However, visitors come here to enjoy Parc Montsouris or the area with street art Butte-aux-Cailles.
